About the job
The purpose of the Controlling Operations Hub Team Lead is to implement and build a high-performing and service-oriented team to drive process centralization and standardization and implement transformation projects for the Controlling Ops controlling processes, while ensuring the daily business continuity across businesses and sites. This includes the preparation of monthly closings (OPEX & expense reviews, scorecards), project approval and tracking, and other financial planning & analysis activities on a timely basis. This lead will need to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure all internal and external factors impacting the Global Functions area are understood, communicated, and applied in the development of financial forecasts and budgets. They will develop partnerships with the Global Finance Business Partners as well as Budget Owners to drive results and control forecasts and budgets.
The role is part of a high performing team centered on Finance transformation and becoming a best-in-class Finance organization.
Main responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
- Accountable for efficient, high-quality closing, analysis, and reporting of Personnel cost, Opex, and GTN in EMEA
- Ensure cost-effective, agile service meeting customer satisfaction and KPI targets
- Foster collaboration across Controlling Ops and stakeholders
- Apply best practices and ensure compliance with SOX standards
Transformation Management:
- Support global transformation projects (TM1, ERP, Insights factory)
- Drive continuous improvement
People and Task Management:
- Implement Core model and RACI
- Manage team workload and performance
Stakeholder Management:
- Support and represent service delivery team
- Monitor Hub service delivery
Experience:
- 5+ years in finance controlling service delivery and management
Key Skills:
- Change management
- Strategic thinking with operational execution
- Team leadership (8+ members)
- Stakeholder influence and partnership building
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ethical behavior and compliance focus
- Technology savvy (SAGA, multiple systems)
- Excellent communication
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Preferred:
- MBA and/or CPA
- Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience
- Commercial Finance and Gross to Net
- TM1 and SAP experience
