Grants & Trusts Intern

We are looking to recruit a placement student as a part of their sandwich degree course. In this role you will work remotely under the Fundraising Manager as a part of our UK team, alongside our PR & Media and Events Coordinator placement interns. You will be mentored in all aspects of running a successful small charity, with a strong focus on grants and trusts 5.

Act4Africa UK is the UK-based charity that has supported the Ugandan NGO for 24 years. Our aim of reducing poverty and transform communities focuses on improving gender equality through female empowerment. Our vision is to build confidence and capability amongst the most vulnerable women and girls. We aim to achieve this through our mission to listen to our communities, providing care and holistic education to transform their lives. Our Strong Mothers programme supports struggling adolescent mothers in rural Uganda through childcare and skills training.

• Communicating with the UK fundraising team via Zoom and email.

• Learning all desired aspects of running a small charity.
• Strengthen your network and provide new relevant connections before graduation.
• Opportunity to travel to Act4Africa site in Mayuge, Uganda.
